Happy for that state. In Fairbanks, AK, we got the additive banned about 15-20 years ago. I one and only council meeting I ever attended to get this done.

Great for you to do this. Wish all citizens would wake up and do this too! Thank you!

I'm sure (actually know, based on NextDoor comments), Shit Lake and Davos Counties won't be happy about it.

I strongly encourage everyone to go to ewg.org/tapwater, type in your zip code, and see what's in your tap water. It's free, and will enlighten you.

This is a really good substack post by Nicolas because it brings up the fact that everything that goes into the drinking water (including during the treatment process) needs to be examined for health safety.

Other than distilling your own water or using an excellent home filtering system (used filters add to landfills) how do you suggest we make tap water healthy, or at least to insure that pathogenic organisms and other toxic chemicals naturally present in water? Instructions everyone in how to use chlorine dioxide?

The toxic crap that is in city water makes me consider revisiting my earlier life studies of the benefits and practices of drinking urine. Sounds gross to someone not familiar and educated on the practice, but it's composition is much less gross than what comes out the kitchen faucet.

I lived in Utah in the mid 1990s. They did not have fluoride in the water then. In school, monthly the kids got a fluoride swish in school. It was a great way to provide fluoride without ingesting it.
